<< Back to Team MembersBILLY CHENG - PRINCIPAL (China)Mr. Cheng joined NewCap Partners in 2006 to open the firm's Shanghai Office. Mr. Cheng's activities at NewCap Partners are focused on both inbound and outbound merger and acquisition transactions, pirmarily between US and Chinese companies. He is also involved with the private placement of securities for Chinese companies.Prior to joining NewCap Mr. Cheng spent seven years as the manager of the Shanghai office of JS Cresvale International Securities Hong Kong, a wholly- owned subsidiary of Jihsun Financial Holding Co., one of the top financial groups in Taiwan. In his role at JS Cresvale, Mr. Cheng focused on assisting private companies in public initial public offerings in Hong Kong. Mr. Cheng also has worked for Capital Securities, Interalpha Financial Consulting, and TI Taiwan. Most of his work experience has been focused on assisting his clients in obtaining capital from banks, private equity groups/funds or the public capital markets. Mr. Cheng received his BS in Engineering Science from National Cheng Kong University in Taiwan, MBA and MM from University of Dallas in Texas, USA. cheng@newcap.com
