Hung T. Bui joined NewCap Partners in 2007 to head the firm's healthcare and life sciences activities.

Mr. Bui has over twenty five years of M&A, business development, program management, product management, marketing and sales, production and inventory control management in the in vitro diagnostics, life sciences and laboratory equipment industries.

Prior to joining NewCap Partners, Mr. Bui was with Beckman Coulter, a leading manufacturer of biomedical laboratory instruments. At Beckman Coulter, Mr. Bui held a variety of positions, but most recently was part of the business development group where he evaluated companies in the context of acquisition, strategic investments, in- and out-licensing opportunities. Besides his business development experiences, Mr. Bui He led several multi-discipline teams that developed several new scientific instruments, software and chemistry products, from market validation of product concepts through to commercialization. Mr. Bui had also held marketing and sales positions at other companies in the laboratory instrumentation industry including Technicon, Bran+Luebbe, Analect Laser Precision and Bausch & Lomb Applied Research Laboratories.

Mr. Bui received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles and an M.B.A. from New York University. He is fluent in French and Vietnamese.
