Dan Sanford joined NewCap Partners in 2002 and resides in the Orange County office.  His career spans over 25 years of diverse transaction experience with public and private middle-market companies.  He has closed, as agent and/or principal, financings and M&A advisory assignment in excess of $8 billions. 

 

His corporate finance and investment banking experience includes: acquisitions, mergers, recapitalizations, equity financings, leveraged, buyouts, divestitures, and structured debt transactions.  He focuses primarily on growth companies operating across a range of industry sectors including:  manufacturing, distribution, specialty retail, food service, branded consumer & industrial products, biotech & medical device; energy and real estate.

 

Prior to NewCap Partners, Mr. Sanford was Managing Director of Investment Banking at Wells Fargo Securities.  Before Wells Fargo, he was a Managing Director at Wedbush Morgan Securities, where he served as generalist and also managed the firm's Healthcare Banking practice.

 

Previously, during a 12-year career with Citicorp, Mr. Sanford was a Senior Banker for West Coast non-investment grade, corporate clients.  He also led a swat team at Citicorp Real Estate that was responsible for unwinding distressed portfolios of commercial real estate properties.    Prior to Citicorp, Mr. Sanford was a Principal at C&K Partners, a Southern California private equity group.  He began his investment banking career at Bateman Eichler, Hill Richards Inc.   He also was Vice President & Region Manager of the Western Energy Group at Security Pacific National Bank.

 

Dan Sanford received his M.B.A. degree from California State University, Fullerton, with a concentration in Finance.   He also holds a B.A. degree in English Literature from the University of Southern California.
